A song about being an asshole, written by someone who is trying every day to be less of one. While we're here, "Sorry to offend" is such a nonsense apology, right? I don't know if a non-asshole has ever actually said that.
P.S. See if you can spot my new Yamaha FX500. Tasty!
lyrics
Suck the stem of a bottle neck
Crack the vent, let in the water
To drown the half of the day I can’t live in
Cut my tongue on a new friend
Called it wrong in the end, told a story
Of dial tones and the girls the love them
Break the rim of a dirty glass
No more taste for the dust or the hassle
Of getting drunk when I can’t reach out to you
Cuz of how fuckin’ hard it is
I could’ve wrecked this night for you, If I had to
I could’ve spoken out of turn and turned around on you
Rip the edge off another pack
Call me in, call off the rack
If they said it once, they can say it twice for me
Call me, I get called that a lot again
Sorry to offend, my sensibility
Came undone when the last one stopped in
4 more years of apologies
hurt you hurt me, I’m getting tired
of getting drunk when I can’t reach out to you
saying how fuckin’ hard it is

Look we're in a pandemic and I, for one, am still too careful to go to live music. The Garages have fixed that not only by putting on a "live" performance, but by sending out the albums. I love the pixies album from a Chapel Hill show because I was there, and I love this for the same reason. mightymur
This Toronto group's sound unabashedly hearkens back to the bouncy indiepop of the Darling Buds and the Primitives. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 11, 2019

A great album that manages to tell a story with some absolute bangers! Lots of really emotional tracks that stick the landing. The instrumentation of rogue ump is so hauntingly beautiful accompanied with perfect lyrics. An additional shoutout to get normal, hurt people and mike townsend (knows what he's gotta do) violet_rain3
